Our client are a boutique building services and facilities management consultancy, with an excellent reputation and amazing clients that include some of the biggest names in Real Estate. Having grown significantly in 2022, they are now looking to grow their team, and are seeking to recruit an FM Engineering Consultant.
The post holder will be responsible for providing expertise and advice relating to clients mechanical and electrical systems in a variety of building types, but typically commercial offices, retail and residential properties. You'll also prepare planned maintenance programmes, produce dilapidation/acquisition surveys, audit building services contractors, and advise on the specification of plant replacement/upgrade projects. The role will involve visiting clients, predominantly in Central London, with any written work/admin/reports to be completed at home or the office dependent on what you prefer.
Duties as follows;
- Monitoring contractor performance on planned preventive maintenance, minor works and compliance.
- Delivering condition reports on Clients M&E Assets.
- Advising clients on repairs, and future projects.
- Prepare planned maintenance works tender documentation and analysing hard services bids/tenders.
- Review progress on any landlord or tenant works and their impact on the operation of the property.
- Providing general technical advice to landlords and tenants relating to M&E systems, compliance, and statutory obligations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in building services maintenance, with knowledge across a broad a range mechanical and electrical systems. In addition, good people skills are a must as you will need to be able to engage with clients in a consultative manner.
